I set up a paper shredder for my friend and the guy who bought it wanted to know what happens when you put 4 credit cards together. Well, the answer is that it crashes. It hung so tightly that it was impossible to break it into pieces. I've used them with WD40s but they don't move, the only thing I can think of is to take a flashlight and melt the plastic. If there are any other suggestions, I will listen to them all.
Do not use a flashlight. I can tell you from experience that it makes the same mess with molten plastic, let alone what it can do with it. :) Just because a shredder is stuck doesn't mean it should be thrown away. I know many people have been successful in clearing traffic jams and using their crusher for many years. Four credit cards, yes, they hit it. :)
I have some suggestions. First of all, make sure that your paper shredder has a reverse switch. Second, hold the needle nose pliers. Third, be very careful.
I'll try to knock back first. If that doesn't help, try using a needle-nose pliers to remove the pieces. If that doesn't work, you can try sliding the mill head to remove the pieces from under the grinder.
And don't forget that crushing knives can hurt you. If you are accessing the blade from below, plug in the paper shredder.
