P3 Electron Configuration - How To Discuss

P3 Electron Configuration

What is the electron configuration of P3, Mo3 + ions? ۔

Did I write the ion electron configuration? I have an answer that I don't think is right for me. Any help is greatly appreciated!

If you can write electronic settings of elements then you are at 99%!

For P 3, that means you add three electrons to P.

1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6

For Mo3+, this means losing 3 electrons.

Mo element is 42, so for ion 3+ this element draws the configuration for 39, Y.

For P3, you want to write the settings first for P and then for 3.

P: 1s2 2s2 3s2 3p3

Q3: (3 means you want to add three more electrons) So you get 3p6, which is true [Ar] if you are good at chemistry.

For P3, you want to write the settings first using P and then 3.

The answer above is incorrect. Since you are releasing an electron, you need to extract it from the spoken 5s and then the 4d:

1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6 4s2 3d10 4p6 5s0 4d3

It is not an orthographic design like Y because it is a transition metal.

Think about it. 5s2 is different arthal than 4d, so of course it will be asked first.
